The PocketPAM2 system offers a comprehensive suite of tools designed to assist farm management professionals in systematic record-keeping and data analysis. It enables users to document a wide range of farm activities including cropping, spraying, fertilization, machinery operations, irrigation, weather conditions, crop scouting with GPS integration, and livestock management. The platform also facilitates viewing farm maps, collecting waypoints, monitoring pastures, managing inventories of farm consumables, and more. Data synchronization with the main PAM system on a farm computer is streamlined via WiFi or internet connectivity. The system is accessible in eight languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Georgian, Arabic, Armenian, and Chinese.

PoCKETPAM2 is organized into twelve modular sub-applications:

• Crop Diary – Records all manual farm tasks such as machinery operations, planting and harvesting activities, irrigation schedules, and fertilizer applications. It features an extensive spray diary for recording application details along with optional inventory batch numbers and weather conditions during spraying. Users can utilize pre-defined PAM tank mixes or create custom ones and synchronize planned events from PAM into actual records within PocketPAM2.
• gpsScout – Facilitates crop scouting activities including pest and disease observations and weed assessments. GPS readings can be taken simultaneously with crop monitoring records and synchronized to PAM Mapping. Observation sites are generated for each scouting session if GPS tracking is enabled. Additionally, gpsScout supports waypoint collection within fields for mapping purposes.
• Mapping – Allows users to export map layers from PAM for viewing within PocketPAM2. A layer management tool enables viewing of data from PAM Mapping, gpsScout scouting missions, and waypoint collections, providing an integrated spatial overview.
• Weather – Records detailed weather parameters such as rainfall, temperature, evaporation rates, and humidity. The module also offers graphing capabilities for weather data visualization.
• General Purpose Diary – Used for recording non-paddock specific notes linked to dates. Users can add reminders, numeric data entries, and associated comments. The module supports on-the-go data entry with graphical representation of numeric trends.
• Field Rex – Designed for consultants to document field recommendations. These recommendations are synchronized back into PAM and can be distributed via SMS or email to clients and contractors.
• Stock Taker – Enables in-field inventory counting, with data being synchronized back to PAM to update stock adjustments accurately.
• Inventory – Supports purchasing activities, stock level adjustments, and transfer of consumables across storage locations. New items and pack sizes can be added dynamically during field operations.
• Harvested Produce Inventory – Manages the sale, transfer, or utilization of harvested crops. It also includes features for managing contracted sales agreements.
• Time Keeper – Tracks work events by recording personnel involved, locations, tasks performed, and duration. When synchronized with PAM, employee hourly costs are incorporated into records. This module is particularly beneficial for vineyard and orchard operations at the row level.
• Livestock Diary – Records comprehensive livestock management activities including movements, veterinary treatments, feeding regimes, shearing, branding, breeding events, purchases, sales, births, and deaths.
• Pasture Scout – Monitors pasture cover levels, growth rates (if known), and pasture composition metrics. Generates visual graphs such as pasture cover trends and a useful Feed Wedge analysis.
• Water Meters – Records readings from water meters to monitor water usage efficiently.

The effective utilization of PocketPAM2 requires PAM version 8.0 or higher—including PAM Enterprise or PAM MTE—and the installation of the PocketPAM2 "Listener" software on the corresponding PAM server or computer network infrastructure.
